Parish Pastoral Council and Committees
Saint Rose of Lima invites parishioners to be active in providing direction and advice to the Pastor in all matters of parish life. This list is a description of the role of the Council and Committees.
Parish Pastoral Council: Members serve a three-year term advising the Pastor on parish developmental issues and facilitating special parish projects. Members are elected by the parish in May. Meets monthly except July and December, 3rd Monday at 7pm.
Elections for Pastoral council will take place at all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, May 15-16. All registered parishioners age 18 and over are eligible to vote. Click here to see the 2010 Nominees.
Finance Committee: Members serve as a financial advisor to the Pastor and Pastoral Council. Committee meets monthly during school year and reports to the Council.
Facilities Committee: Volunteers who are willing to review parish facilities and make recommendations to the Pastoral Council for immediate needs and long range care of the parish buildings and grounds.
Liturgy Committee: Meet 1st Wednesday of every month, September-May, to plan liturgical themes, music and environment. The Committee reports to the Council.
School Advisory Committee: The Pastoral Council appoints seven members to a three-year term. In addition there are two seats available to Corpus Christi who also send children to Saint Rose School. The Committee advises the Pastor and Principal in areas of policy, budget, and marketing for Saint Rose School. Meets monthly except July, 1st Tuesday at 7pm, and reports to the Council.
Faith Formation Committee: Volunteers assist the Pastor and Director of Religious Education in areas relating to Religious Education programs (Sunday Pre-K, Grades 1-8, and Confirmation), RCIA, and Adult Enrichment. The Committee reports to the Council.
Christian Service Committee: This Committee will help coordinate the efforts of the various service and outreach projects of the Parish and report to the Council.
Parish Life Committee: (In Development) This Committee will help coordinate the various groups and organizations of the parish.
Health Advisory Committee: This commiteesupports the mission of Saint Rose to be a place of health and healing by advising and assisting the Parish Nurse. Meets quarterly and reports to the Council.
