Saint Rose Parish Fall Festival - Friday, September 24
Saint Rose of Lima's annual Fall Festival will be Friday evening, September 24. The Rockin' Hollywoods will play in the big outdoor tent from 6:00pm to 9:30pm. Kids games will be in the gym. Bingo will be in the School cafeteria. Burgers, fries, hot dogs, and other goodies will be available. The Grand Raffle will be held at 8:30pm. Donation boxes are at the entrances of the Church. Sign-up Sunday for volunteers was August 28-29. Additional volunteers may call the Parish Office at 651-645-9389.
Saint Rose of Lima School 70th Anniversary - Saturday, September 25
Saint Rose of Lima School is 70 years old this year. The anniversary celebration will be on Saturday, September 25, starting with the 4:30pm Mass. Bishop Lee Piche will preside at the Mass. Alumni and families and all parishioners are welcome. Dinner will be served in the outdoor tent after Mass. Adults $12, Children 12 & under $6. RSVP to the School with the number of tickets desired at 651-646-3832. Tours of the School, class gatherings, and memorabilia will also be available after Mass.
Anointing Mass - Monday, October 4, 10am
The annual fall Mass with the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be Monday, October 4, at 10am in Church. All who live with chronic illness or simply the reality of aging are welcome to be anointed. A free luncheon will follow in the Parish Center. Please RSVP for the lunch by calling the Parish Office at 651-645-9389.
Archdiocesan Strategic Planning Announcement - October 16-17
On the weekend of October 16-17, the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis will announce the strategic plan for the parishes and schools of the diocese. The planning process has been underway since February, 2009. The plan will be announced at all Masses that weekend. Booklets summarizing the plan will be handed out to all parish households after Masses. Be sure to attend Mass on this important weekend!
Turkey Bingo - Sunday, November 7, 4:00pm
Join us for our Second Annual Turkey Bingo sponsored by the Religious Education Department. It will be held in the School Cafeteria. Doors open at 3:30pm and play begins at 4:00pm. There will be 15 regular games plus a number of extra cash games and a final coverall for a beautiful quilt made by the Saint Rose of Lima Quilting Group. |
