Saint Rose of Lima’s Elementary and Junior High School Faith Formation Programs reflect the rich tradition of Religious Education’s national birthplace: Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Inspired by Archbishop John Ireland’s petition to Rome in 1890, Religious Education in America was born. We are proud of his foresight and the rich heritage that followed.
In Grades 2 through 8, Saint Rose employs professional teachers to fill the important role of Catechist to our parish children. Our Archdiocesan approved textbooks include: We Believe; Project Discipleship by Sadlier Publishing Company for our Elementary students, and for Grades 7 and 8, RCL/Benziger’s 4-semester series, Be My Disciples: Life in Christ; Christ in the Liturgy; Christ Reveals God’s Mystery; and Christ in the New Testament.
Our program is also infused with Liturgies, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Family Life at-home materials, Protection of Children & Youth Initiative lessons, service opportunities and the arts.
