Saint Rose of Lima Choir
The Choir is a mixed SATB ( Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) choral group open to men and women (18+). The choir sings at weekend liturgies, rotating between the Saturday 4:30 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM, and Holy Days from September until the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (May/June). The choir sings a variety of styles and rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the church.
Cantor
This opportunity is open to experienced singers who can comfortably lead the congregation in song. Cantors are utilized at all liturgies - as soloists when the choir is not present and leading some musical elements at liturgies with the choir present. A brief audition is required for this ministry. Please contact the Director of Music to learn about how you can be involved in this ministry.
Funeral Schola
This opportunity is open to anyone available to sing at funerals (usually held at 10 AM on weekdays). The Funeral Schola is a very flexible group; you can sing as often, or as little, as your schedule permits. Rehearsals are held once a month on Tuesday morning from September through May at 10 am and 30 minutes before funerals.
